Daniel Abraham and George R. R. Martin have been nothing but great to me.
When I was diagnosed with cancer two years ago, both came to my aid. Daniel donated a short story to Unfettered, my anthology that paid off my medical debt. George, on the other hand, donated his signing hand, autographing 100 sets of #1-10 of his Game of Thrones adaptation.
Daniel didn’t stop at the short story donation though. He also offered to sign those copies of the comic book, being the adapting writer on the project!
I released George from his promise to sign books because I understand how busy he is. I kept Daniel around for one more issue though—Game of Thrones #11!
Copies are $5.00. A great addition to any order!
Game of Thrones #11 by George R. R. Martin & Daniel Abraham
Out of stock
George R.R. Martin has been called “the American Tolkien” by Time Magazine, and now his landmark fantasy series is being adapted to a graphic format, starting with the first book of the series: A Game of Thrones. The premiere issue introduces readers to George’s world, adapting the prologue and first three chapters of the novel, and bringing onto the graphic stage such iconic characters as Eddard and Catelyn Stark, Jon Snow, young Bran Stark, and Daenerys Targaryen. This novel has also been adapted as a major miniseries by HBO – with HBO’s highest ratings to date, since having premiered on April 17, 2011!
First, this is a super rare signing. Daniel Abraham is not signing anywhere else as far as I know, making these 100 copies ultra rare. And given the success of the Song of Ice & Fire series the last few months and the growth of GRRM’s fan base, I’m sure these will sell quickly.
Second, this is not a set of books. This is a comic book, #11 to be exact. This issue is only signed by Daniel Abraham, the writer who is adapting Game of Thrones to the comic book format! You’ll have to track George R. R. Martin down at a signing or convention to get his autograph as well!
Finally, I have purposefully set the price lower than what you would see on comic book websites offering signed copies. Why? Because I don’t deal in comic books and want to make my customers happy. Simple.
