New Signings: Chao, Frazetta, McGuire, and Wendig

New Signings: Chao, Frazetta, McGuire, and Wendig

Hi Signed Page Friends,

I'm excited to share new pre-order details for four different projects.

All three novels should be on your radar, especially the two stand-alone books by Chao and Wendig. And the comic book series should super intrigue anyone who loves Vampirella or artist Frank Frazetta's legacy.

More details below:

Shanghai Immortal by A. Y. Chao: This is a book by a new writer who blew up the bestseller lists in the UK when Shanghai Immortal published in June 2023. Now the book is being published in the US. The US publisher feels so strongly about the book and its author that they are sending her out on tour, which is quite unheard of! The author is also doing a joint event with Fonda Lee in Portland, OR, and everyone loves Fonda's work, right? It tells me this book is amazing. Hope you'll consider it.

The Innocent Sleep by Seanan McGuire: Yup, Seanan is back for another October Daye book! This is like her seventh published in 2023 or something? I kid. It's the result of COVID back-logging the publishing timeline and Seanan is just one helluva writer able to write a lot! If you love your urban fantasy, try the October Daye series.

Vampirella: Dead Flowers by Sara Frazetta: This is a fun one. It is for the new Vampirella comic book mini-series, Dead Flowers. These four issues are being co-written by Sara Frazetta — granddaughter of Frank Frazetta, who painted the cover for the US's Vampirella #1 in 1969  — and she's also done art on Cover D. You can order just issue #1 if you like or all 4 issues together in a bundle. I will not be offering Issues #2-4 individually.

Black River Orchard by Chuck Wendig: For years, Chuck has been an avid proponent and connoisseur of apples on his social media. It was only a matter of time before this got pressed (see what I did there?) into one of his novels. Well, that time has come. This is one of my most anticipated books of 2023 given its premise. Definitely take a read of the description and see if it is for you.

In other news, I hope to see Robin Hobb/Megan Lindholm this week along with Seanan McGuire to sign copies of Wizard of the Pigeons, Assassin's Apprentice comic books that are needed to fulfill a handful order outstanding orders, and Sleep No More. More news on that later this week!

If you have any questions, feel free to ask. I'm always around.

With Ink Magic,

Shawn
