It is an exciting time at The Signed Page.
I just finished shipping out copies of The Stiehl Assassin by Terry Brooks and Dark Age by Pierce Brown. We have signed copies of The Illustrated Assassin’s Apprentice by Robin Hobb (October) and Smoke Bitten by Patricia Briggs (March) up for pre-order now! And in December, we may have Dead Astronauts by Jeff VanderMeer!
But today features two gems in between all of those! And I’m excited about both. First up, next month, A Little Hatred by Joe Abercrombie publishes and he’s signed a sheet bound into the book. Since Joe lives in the UK and rarely visits the US, this is a great way for US/Australia residents to receive a signed copy of this first book in a new trilogy. If you haven’t read Joe’s work, I highly recommend A Little Hatred since it is a perfect start point. He’s simply one of the best fantasy writers working today. I only have access to 300 copies. When gone, they be gone.
The Burning White by Brent Weeks is the next one to talk about! This could get confusing though so I’ll try to be as clear as possible. Brent is doing the same thing that Joe did—signing a designed signature sheet that will be tipped into the regular trade edition and bound. But unlike Joe, I have access to Brent since he lives right down the road from me. When Brent and I began talking about this signing, he let me know that he signed the signatures pages with different ink colors, making it hard to match a written out personalization ink with an ink he used weeks earlier while signing the sheets.
We decided to offer two different editions of The Burning White. Here they are:
Also, since I’ll have The Burning White Extra Page Edition early, I’ll ship those on October 21st, the Monday before publication date. Brent is signing on Wednesday October 23rd. So if you want the book the fastest possible way, the Extra Page Edition is the one you should order since I’ll ship it earlier and it will save you a few precious days!
One more thing. The Burning White is 992 pages long. A massive book. It will ship at 4 lbs, making it a more expensive book to ship. I charge what USPS charges me for shipping. Understand that I don’t set those prices. Thanks!
If you have a question about any of that, please comment below and I’ll respond in kind. I know some of you may want both editions of The Burning White and that’s okay. Just make sure you order them together so you can save on shipping!
Excited about both of these! Joe is beginning a new series and Brent is ending his. Both awesome!
Happy Tuesday!
