2021 Signings & Kickstarter

Hi Everyone,

Wow, it has been a long time since I updated this blog! That’s how busy I’ve been, I guess!

Just a few things I want to mention. I’ve just ordered copies of Small Magic by Terry Brooks, The Illustrated Assassin’s Quest by Robin Hobb, and Wild Sign by Patricia Briggs. These all publish in March and that’s when they will be signed and shipped.

Indomitable on the Kickstarter!

I believe The Illustrated Assassin’s Quest is already on its way to me. Small Magic will be right after that. And I’ll get them both signed and shipped out first. Wild Sign publishes later in the month and copies are having to be sent to Patricia Briggs directly for signing. Then I have to go pick them up four hours away. So shipping those out might be delayed a bit but I’m going to get it done as fast as I can.

What’s on my 2021 of signed books after those? I have quite a few that will be signed on the dust jacket or on tip-ins bound into the book. Child of Light will be signed on title page. Here is a list of those I will be posting for pre-order soon:

  • The Wisdom of Crowds by Joe Abercrombie
  • Child of Light by Terry Brooks
  • Leviathan Falls by James S. A. Corey
  • Dune: The Lady of Caladan by Brian Herbert & Kevin J. Anderson
  • Goblin by Josh Malerman
  • The Last Graduate by Naomi Novik
  • Sidewinders by Robert V.S. Redick
  • Fugitive Telemetry by Martha Wells
  • The Book of Accidents by Chuck Wendig

Any of those make you interested? Anything else you’d like me to look into? Let me know the title and author!

I want to mention one more cool thing going on. Terry Brooks and I have launched a Kickstarter in support of special editions of The Scions of Shannara and the short story Indomitable. There are tiers for everyone. Those who love The Signed Page might like the first and second tiers. Tier 1 is $50 and it features a signed and illustrated copy of The Scions of Shannara. Tier 2 is $75 and it features the signed Scions along with a signed and illustrated copy of Indomitable.

Hope you are well! More news soon!

Shipping Update: Dune, Hobb, Novik

Happy Monday, Readers!

Just a quick update on what is going on with The Signed Page. In short, there are several signings that are outstanding and I’m simply awaiting for the signings to happen. Here is an update:

Dust jackets for A Deadly Education signed by Naomi Novik have been mailed to her. I am awaiting their return.

Today I am removing dust jackets from Dune: Duke of Caladan and will be mailing them to Kevin J. Anderson tomorrow. Kevin always signs fast and then he will mail them to Brian Herbert. So we are still several weeks away on this one, I’m afraid. Apologies I did not get to the dust jackets sooner.

And for the various Robin Hobb books, Megan and I are simply trying to find a good time to sign. She has a family member who is currently ill and she doesn’t want to spread anything to my family. Hope we can get together in the next week. Will know more soon on that front.

Stay safe by staying home and reading a good book!

With Magic,

New Signing: Brian Herbert & Kevin J. Anderson

Hi Everyone,

It’s been a while. I hope you all are well, staying sane, and reading something great.

I have completed my Kickstarter for my new SF&F novel and I couldn’t be happier with it. So many of you ordered a copy and I’m going to have one fun time shipping out all of the books! So thank you. And if you missed out on ordering a copy of The Tempered Steel of Antiquity Grey, I will be posting a different way to order one. Details coming soon.

Now, on to today’s announcement. I am pleased to say that Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson will be signing copies of the new novel Dune: Duke of Caladan. I’ve known these guys a long time and I’ve known about this book for over a year. I’ve had to hold my tongue. Now I get to offer it here for you. But not only that… I’m doing something different. My Kickstarter had other items of merchandise included in it. I thought, “Let’s do that with Dune: Duke of Caladan.” I’m doing it!

First, the title page will not be signed. I am having Brian and Kevin sign the dust jacket. Easier to ship through the mail. Easier for the authors to handle. And just as cool in my opinion. When I receive the dust jackets back, I will put a protective sleeve over them called a Brodart to protect the signatures. Then mail them out. But that’s not all. Orders will include a $14.99 pin based on next year’s Dune movie (yes, the movie moved due to COVID)! So you get a book, a brodart, and a pin for $50.

If this does well, I’ll reach out to other authors in these COVID times and see about doing something similar. Feel free to be vocal about all of this. The good, the bad, the ugly. Because feedback keeps this place going!

Only 100 copies are available. And I may be working on getting the Dune: House Atreides comic book adaptation too… just so you know. Ha!

Best Spice Wishes,
