New Signings: Robin Hobb

Hi Everyone,

I am excited to announce a few different Robin Hobb books today alongside some that have been available for a while.

You can now pre-order The Illustrated Assassin’s Quest, to match up with your copies of The Illustrated Assassin’s Apprentice and The Illustrated Royal Assassin. The Illustrate Assassin’s Quest will publish March 2 and that’s when Robin will stop by to sign. Then the books will ship.

But that’s not all. I have a rare numbered trade hardcover edition of Wizard of the Pigeons signed by Megan Lindholm, who also writes as Robin Hobb. These are the first 48 copies to roll off the printing press and they shipped ahead of the copies that arrive by boat in December. Megan is willing to personalize even as she signs them. I will number them, making these special, and they will also ship this month as opposed to the copies that will ship in December. If you want to cancel your December order for one of these copies, I can do that.

Then there is the fully-illustrated Folio Society Farseer Trilogy. The signed edition from Folio sold out almost immediately. A number of The Signed Page customers asked if I would get the regular unsigned edition and have Robin sign and/or personalize. So that’s what I’m doing. It isn’t cheap, I’ll tell you that. I’m getting the three books at a cost of $250 and each set costs about $15 to get from the UK on a pallet. But people are ordering it and I can’t wait to get a copy for myself! Robin will sign all three books and they come within a slipcase.

Here are some links for you:

It’s a great time being a Megan Lindholm/Robin Hobb reader, I tell you that! If you have any questions, do let me know.

Cheers!
Shawn

New Signings: Robin Hobb & Naomi Novik

Hi All,

These two signings came together fast. But are a bit different than the norm for The Signed Page though. Carefully read on.

First up, the Folio Society edition of The Farseer Trilogy. I’ve had at least a dozen people write me asking if I’d have these unsigned books on The Signed Page and then have Robin Hobb stop by to sign and/or personalize. I figure I should offer what you guys want, so click HERE to see it. These are three hardcover volumes with full-color interiors, a new map, some beautiful foiling and two-color printing inside. These are beautiful editions. They are costing me $250 each — I couldn’t get a discount from Folio — so I’m having to add on monies to pay for the shipping from the UK to the US as well as pay for my services. Still cheaper than the signed edition Folio was selling though which is good.

The second signing I am highlighting today is for Naomi Novik’s A Deadly Education. Again, a lot of people asked if I’d have copies. After talking with Naomi, we decided the best way to handle it is the same way I am handling the Dune: Duke of Caladan signing. Naomi will sign dust jackets, I will Brodart sleeve them to protect the signature, and then ship them out!

NOTE: SADLY, I FOUND OUT THESE ARE LIKELY 2ND PRINTING COPIES OF A DEADLY EDUCATION. I will confirm on Monday, October 12th if that is the case for sure! That’s why you can’t order it right now.

There you go. Two more signings. And if there are any forthcoming books you want to see on The Signed Page, let me know in the comments below. I’ll try to get them to sign dust jackets at least!

Cheers!
