Yes, she’s won awards. Yes, she’s sold a lot of books. Yes, she’s one of the most insightful people online. But what I like best about Nora is her ability to write. Write. And write. She has gorgeous prose, engaging characters, always strange and creative stories. Always with a literary bent shining a light on our world’s problems. And she’s able to do it while turning in a book on time! Awesome!
Orbit reached out to me about carrying The City We Became after so many of you bought their signed copies of A Little Hatred by Joe Abercrombie and The Burning White by Brent Weeks. Like those books, The City We Became is signed by N. K. Jemisin on a blank page that has been bound into the book. There are only 200 copies available.
If you haven’t read Nora’s work, The City We Became might be a perfect place to start!
