Pre-Order Now: The Starless Crown by James Rollins

Happy New Year!

The Signed Page is going to have a very busy year this year. More details on that next week.

In the meantime, a book published today that’s important to post about now. It is The Starless Crown by James Rollins. While Jim is best known for his thriller work these last twenty years or so, he actually began his writing career at Del Rey Books as James Clemens. He wrote several fantasy novels. Now he is back, writing fantasy for Tor Books, and The Starless Crown is that first book. And wow, is it great. I received an early copy of it last year. Epic, epic, epic is the only way I can describe it.

Jim has offered to sign dust jackets through the mail as The Signed Page has done several times in the last two years with other authors. To sweeten that deal, Tor Books has sent me 100 special pins to commemorate the release of The Starless Crown and I’m giving one for every book sold.

Pre-order The Starless Crown by Friday, January 7th. Yes, that’s a fast request but I need to know counts to order the books into stock. Books will ship later this month.

Also, The Signed Page now has Twitter and Instagram, along with Facebook. If you use those social media platforms, feel free to follow us there too!

More news next week. We have about ten titles to announce. Yay!

If you have questions, feel free to ask.

With Magic,
Shawn

New Signing: Servant Mage by Kate Elliott

Hi Signed Page Friends,

The amazing Kate Elliott has offered to sign copies of her new book, Servant Mage. You can read more about it on the pre-order page HERE. It is a 172-page hardcover that has been wonderfully blurbed by some great writers and bloggers. I’m eager to read it. I thought you might be too.

It publishes in January, to be signed by February 1st. Since the book is only 172 pages, it is smallish, which allows me to ship the books directly to Kate for signing. That means these copies can be signed and/or personalized on the title page.

Only 100 copies available. I can’t very well ship Kate more than that without killing her back moving four boxes.

Shawn

Giveaway: Dune: Lady of Caladan

Hi SF&F Fans,

2021 is a big year for Dune. The movie hits US theaters tomorrow. There is a new trilogy publishing from Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson. And there is a myriad of merchandise items out there.

The Signed Page is carrying dust jacket-signed copies of Dune: Lady of Caladan by Brian Herbert & Kevin J. Anderson, as most of you are aware. Since they have been so busy with the movie release and not really being home all that often, I’ve had to wait to get the dust jackets signed. I’m mailing them on October 25th to Kevin. Then he will mail them to Brian and I’ll snag them from him since we are local to one another.

When I ordered the books from Tor/Macmillan, they shipped the books double-boxed. Which is great normally because it helps prevent UPS demolishing the books while they are en route. But there were about 12 damaged copies. I requested to return them as damaged — and Tor did something really cool. They offered me credit for the damaged copies like they normally would, but then they told me to donate or use them in a giveaway. Never has a publisher offered this but I love it.

So. I have 12 copies of Dune: Lady of Caladan. They are unsigned. They are slightly damaged — bumped spines or struck corners. If you’d like a copy of this second volume in the new Dune trilogy, enter below. Here are the details:

  • No purchase necessary
