• elcome to The Signed Page, a website devoted to bringing signed and personalized books to fans who are unable to meet their favorite touring writers. An author can only visit so many cities per book release, leaving many fans worldwide unable to attain a signed book for a reasonable price.

For ten years, The Signed Page has been the answer to that problem.

First 2012 Signings: Herbert and Hobb!

2012 is just around the corner and I have to say I am happy as all hellfire that 2011 is behind me!

That said, 2012 starts with two major authors stopping by The Signed Page!

Sisterhood of Dune by Brian Herbert

This signing is late going up. Brian Herbert will be stopping by next week on January 3rd to sign copies of Sisterhood of Dune! It’s the first Dune novel in a few years and only Brian will be signing it; Kevin J. Anderson will be in another part of the country on tour for it as well. Get your orders in quickly!

City of Dragons by Robin Hobb

Robin Hobb will be signing in February for her new Rain Wilds book, City of Dragons!

Inheritance by Robin Hobb & Megan Lindholm

This a rare book. It’s the hardcover Subterranean Press edition and is rare because Inheritance wasn’t originally released in hardcover, only in trade paperback. Now Sub Press is publishing 1000 copies of Inheritance in hardcover and donating—yes, donating—100 copies to me to help pay off my extensive medical bills. How awesome of Sub Press, right!? So if you want to support me, buy one of these. And then go over to the Sub Press website and order something from Bill for his generosity!

Game of Thrones Comic Books

I’ve had a few people ask after the GRRM double-signed comic books that should be signed this week. Right now, it is looking like it isn’t happening as planned. The comic books will not be back to me by Christmas. It’s going to take several weeks to get them signed and shipped back to me since Issue #3 did not release until last week. This pushes everything back.

If anyone expected these as holiday gifts and want to return the order, just let me know via the Contact page. Cheers to the holidays!

Closing For December

Due to Random House hiring me for a project that I must complete by January 1st, I will not be shipping out orders after Friday, December 9, 2011. You can still order if you like, but books will not be shipped until early 2012.

In short, orders for the holiday season will last be shipped on Friday, December 9th. If you order after that, the books are arriving after the holiday season.

Plus, the additional time will help me recover from six months of cancer treatment, a vacation in the gym and yoga studio that I sorely need to recover what my body has lost. The Signed Page will reopen as usually on January 1st.

Thank you for your understanding!

Shipping Update: Brooks, Lawrence, Sanderson

Over the last four days, I managed to ship out 95% of the books signed by Brooks, Lawrence, and Sanderson. The only orders remaining are those that have three books or more.

Today I have my last chemotherapy treatment, which means I won’t be working the next four days. I’m not even capable of going to my parents’ home for Thanksgiving, that’s how ill I’ll be. When I feel better, I will tackle those last remaining orders as well as the orders containing Jim Butcher books, which came back to me Saturday!

Then the Christopher Paolini signing is on Monday in a week. Then I’ll be done for the year—with treatment as well as signings—and all will be right with the world. Thanks for your understanding while I go through all of this. You all have been great.

Signing Update: Brooks, Sanderson, Lawrence, Butcher

It’s been a busy few weeks, culminating in several authors stopping by to sign books!

First, Brandon Sanderson stopped by to sign copies of The Alloy of Law. Brandon was great as always, signing anything and everything I had. Before some of you ask, there is a high likelihood that he will stop by in late 2012 for the last Wheel of Time book. More on that next year.

Then Terry Brooks stopped by yesterday and signed copies of High Druid of Shannara. It’s a massive omnibus.

Other good news. Copies of The Prince of Thorns signed by Mark Lawrence have returned to me! So those of you waiting on that book and others on the same order should be receiving your orders soon. The same with Jim Butcher, who I know has signed his copies of Side Jobs and he’s sent them back to me. Hopefully they will arrive sometime later this week.

In short, I am working hard this week to box up as many books as I can and get them into the mail by Saturday. I have my last chemotherapy treatment on Monday, November 21st, so shipping will stop from Monday through Friday next week. The more I can get done this week, the better, but I have over 300 books to get boxed up and into the mail and that’s a tall order. All I can do is promise I’ll do my best. And when your order ships, you’ll receive an email notification of it.

Thanks for all the well wishes and understanding how difficult the last six months have been on me. Without you guys being patient, this would have been much tougher. I look forward to 2012 and not being debilitatingly weak! It’s gonna be a great year for fantasy and science fiction so stay tuned!
