Answer: No, you cannot. They are only sold as a set.
Question: Why are you producing these with the trade paperback artwork?
Answer: I wanted a hardcover set that matches the design and art seen in the newest Shannara hardcover, Galaphile. Galaphile is connected to these stories in a major way.
Question: Will you produce First King of Shannara with a hardcover to bridge the gap?
Answer: If this hardcover set of the original Shannara volumes sells well, you bet. I will get sub-rights to do it, hire the same cover artist to produce new artwork, and it will match the design on these books.
Question: Do these books have the original artwork in them?
Answer: Yes, these books have the artwork from their original releases in them.
Question: Will you include the original foldout from The Sword of Shannara?
Answer: If I can make it work financially, I certainly will.
Question: Will these books be like Grim Oak Press books?
Answer: No. Grim Oak Press uses high-end materials like cloth/leather boards, sewn-ribbon, foil, dust jacket embossments, etc. These books will be similar in scope and materials as Galaphile, though they will likely have acid-free paper and be Smyth-sewn for lasting bindings.
Question: Will these books be numbered or lettered?
Answer: No, maintaining a number/letter list so people can match is too difficult for a one-person effort like The Signed Page. The title page will state these are limited to a certain amount though.
Question: Will you ever produce second printings of these?
Answer: Never. This is your one chance to get these books. Make it count.
Question: These are limited then?
Answer: Yes, I can only produce a maximum of 1000 copies of each title.
Question: Will these books be 6"x9" or a different size?
Answer: They will be a bit bigger than that to match the same dimensions as Galaphile. I want the books to sit next to one another and look absolutely uniform.
